Problem
A semiconductor industry leader needed a partner that could deliver a new cleanroom design that was not part of the original building. To avoid substantially higher greenfield design and construction costs, they needed a partner that could retrofit the cleanroom ceiling system in a challenging space.
Solution
To address the retrofit challenge, multiple Clean-Trak ceiling grid and plenum types and forced return-air chimneys (FRACs) were custom designed. The Nortek team provided critical building information modeling (BIM) Revit design services to incorporate these changes and successfully re-purpose an existing structure.
Impact
The Client identified this as their #1 profitability project. The return on air for the client was reduced construction costs and accelerated timelines.
