General Counsel
John Lavorato is General Counsel for Madison Air, a premier platform of more than 30 air-quality brands dedicated to making the world safer, healthier, and more productive through the power of better air.
In this role, John leads global legal strategy, compliance, and governance across Madison Air’s diverse portfolio. He advises the executive team on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters, manages risk, oversees corporate governance, and ensures legal strategies are aligned with business goals.
Prior to joining Madison Air, John served as General Counsel for Madison Industries and its Filtration Group. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at Dell Technologies, where he held senior roles in legal and operations, including Vice President of Global Sales Operations. His work spanned legal support for public and commercial sectors, global contracts, proposals, customer experience, and organizational development.
John began his legal career at Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Washington, DC, focusing on litigation and commercial matters. Earlier, he served six years as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army, with assignments in Panama, Honduras, and the National Capital Region.
He holds a B.S. and J.D. from Santa Clara University and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Georgetown University Law Center. John is deeply committed to education and community service, currently serving as Chair of the Foundation Board for Concordia University Texas.
